This ballast is perfect for users who need extra weight on their fins. You can add this extra weight to just one side (gaining +/- 120g) or to both sides (gaining +/- 240g).

It's also very useful if you want to use the storage compartment. When using the storage compartment, you have to forgo one of the weights. In that case, and if you need to maintain the fin's negative weight, you can mount the storage compartment on one side and the extra weight on the other. This way, you'll only lose 48g compared to using two standard weights.
