The ALADIN 100 has all the features you could need. Data is shown on a generous 2.4" (6 cm) screen, controlled with two buttons that let you navigate an intuitive interface with a full-text menu, so it is quick to get familiar with and easy to use.
It uses the most widely adopted algorithm, the Bühlmann ZH-L16 ADT MB, and is suitable for dives down to 80 m with gas mixes from Air to Nitrox 50.
For power, it uses the best option: a common, user-replaceable AA battery. This system is used in very high-end technical computers because AA batteries are so easy to find: wherever you are in the world, however remote, you can buy one in almost any shop. Battery life is 300 hours, and the battery compartment is sealed, which means that if you make a mistake when changing the battery, only the battery compartment will flood, not the entire computer.
