The Cressi FISTERRA wetsuit was born out of the needs of professional divers for use in cold water, and due to its exceptional thermal protection, it is also being purchased for recreational use.
It is a highly durable, watertight wetsuit with excellent thermal protection. Its medium-density neoprene guarantees optimal thermal protection at depth due to its high compression resistance, making it ideal for professional work, long-duration dives, or simply for recreational users familiar with the qualities of this type of suit.
- It features a combination of varying thicknesses: 8 mm in the chest and back, and 7 mm in the remaining panels, tailored to the specific needs of each body area.
- The jacket has no zipper, and the pants have a bib.
- The outer lining is made of highly durable, heavy-duty nylon. The inner lining is made of X-Plush, a stretchy, hydrogen-repellent terry cloth with excellent glide for easy donning and doffing.
- Large, abrasion-resistant knee and shin guards and elbow pads are made of Supratex©.
- 7 mm thick, smooth neoprene inner seals at the face, wrists, and ankles are exceptionally durable and watertight.
- The specific underarm design allows for excellent arm mobility by completely eliminating underarm seams.
TIPS: These suits fit very snugly, which is one of the secrets to their watertight seal and subsequent thermal protection. Ideally, you should use soapy water to put on these suits; this will make the task of putting them on and taking them off go from arduous to simple.
