SeaLife Wide-Angle Dome Lens for SportDiver Housings
The 6-inch wide-angle dome lens for the SeaLife SportDiver underwater housing for smartphones increases the phone's camera lens field of view by 43%, allowing photographers to get closer to their subject while still fitting everything into the frame. The new dome lens mounts directly onto the lens housing of the SportDiver housing without the need for a lens adapter.
The 0.65x dome lens requires no special skills, training, or adjustments; simply mount it and take a picture. Split shots that separate the top and underwater views are especially easy. A safety lanyard is included to keep the lens attached to the housing in case of a bump. The dome lens design utilizes high-grade acrylic optics arranged in 2-element/2-group configurations, providing exceptional sharpness to all contours. The lens has an effective focal length equivalent to 15.6mm film when used, for example, with the SeaLife SportDiver and the iPhone 15 Pro's 24mm "Ultra Wide" camera lens.
The lens is waterproof to 40m and has positive buoyancy. The new 6"/15cm dome lens fits all SeaLife SportDiver housings. The dome lens includes a rotating lens hood built around the optics to help control stray sunlight. The 15cm dome lens is a "wet lens" and attaches and detaches easily underwater; the lens's internal chambers are filled with air, making the lens buoyant. A lanyard is included to prevent the lens from accidentally detaching if bumped.
A neoprene lens cap and protective case are also included.
